New Boundaries
Our Stake Is Growing
As presented this morning by President Hopkins in Stake Conference, the First Presidency has approved the following changes. We hope you have already received a confirmation from the Holy Ghost regarding these changes. If not, we invite you to pray for that confirmation.
The Cushing, Shawnee, Village, Edmond 4th and Oklahoma YSA Wards have no changes to their current boundaries.
With the creation of the new Scissortail Ward, the other Edmond wards will have the following boundary changes. Click or tap the maps to open them.
Even if you are now in a different ward, on Sunday, September 24th, attend with the ward you were a member of before these changes. The next weekend, September 30-October 1st will be General Conference, when we will not meet as wards. Then Sunday, October 8, we will have Fast Sunday with our new wards.
Boundary Changes
Edmond 1st Ward
The western boundary of the Edmond 1st Ward will now be I-35.
Boundary Changes
Edmond 2nd Ward
On the eastern side of the Edmond 2nd Ward, the boundary will follow I-35 north up to 15th St in Edmond.
Boundary Changes
Edmond 3rd Ward
The eastern boundary of the Edmond 3rd Ward will now be I-35, starting at 15th St in Edmond. The western boundary will shift north of 2nd St to follow North Boulevard which becomes North Broadway north of Covell.
Boundary Changes
Edmond 5th Ward
The Edmond 5th Ward’s eastern boundary will expand from Kelly to North Broadway/North Boulevard, south down to 2nd St. The western boundary crosses the land between Western and Pennsylvania Avenues, making sure not to cut through neighborhoods.
Delmer Lakes, Kingsbury Ridge, Danforth Farms, and Horseshoe Rd are on the Edmond 5th side of that boundary.
Boundary Changes
Scissortail Ward
The new Scissortail Ward maintains the previous northern, southern, and western boundaries of the Edmond 5th Ward, but will now end between Western and Pennsylvania Avenues on the East.
Settlers’ Crossing, Thornhill, and Heartland Middle School are on the Scissortail side of that boundary.
